Our Licensed Massage Therapist offers wellness sessions for residents that are consent-based, non-clinical, and designed to complement, not replace, existing nursing, therapy, and activity services.
Residents may experience benefits such as:
Visits may include gentle hand and arm massage, guided relaxation techniques, calming aromatherapy, sensory comfort tools, and small-group music and mindfulness offerings.
Our caregivers give so much of themselves every day. The Wellness Program gives them a moment to reset.
During each weekly visit, team members have the opportunity to participate in brief chair massages, guided breathing breaks and stretch resets scheduled around work schedules so participation is simple and accessible.
Research supports what our
team already knows:
even a brief wellness moment can
meaningfully reduce stress, improve
mood and help prevent burnout.
“Earlier this week, I met with a resident I thought was completely confused. In the middle of our conversation, she told me, ‘You need to hurry up because I have to go get my massage.”
– Dr. Bramlett, a visiting doctor who explained that in more than 30 years of practicing in nursing homes, he had never heard a resident say they were headed to a massage appointment
